Don assists his clients in starting, growing and operating successful businesses. He also helps business owners develop and plan their exit strategies, which may include succession to the next generation, sale to management, or a third party sale.
His clients are in industries as diverse as manufacturing, forestry, aviation, broadcast and communications, wholesale distribution and professional service firms.
Don served as Managing Director of the Kelowna office from 1990-2008 and was Chair of the Council of Partners for MacKay LLP from 2004-2007.
His contributions to the communities he serves have been recognized over the years: He was named Executive of the Year for 1998 (Kelowna Business Excellence Awards), received the Okanagan College Distinguished Alumni Award for 2008, and was named a Fellow of the B.C. Institute of Chartered Accountants in 2010.
Professional Memberships and Education
Don attended Okanagan College and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from UBC. He is a Chartered Accountant and a Certified Financial Planner.
Volunteer Activities
Don has been active in the Kelowna community throughout his professional career. Currently Don is a member of the Sunrise Rotary Club.
