Jack is the definitive people person, an accounting generalist born and raised in North Vancouver who really enjoys working with his clients. Since entering public practice in 1969, Jack has assisted a variety of businesses with a wide range of services including audit, accounting, small business taxation, and numerous consulting engagements.
His secret to successful relationships is intuition. As Jack puts it, "The trick is to ask the right questions." And he obviously does, because his client list is very diverse.
Professional Memberships and Education
Jack attended Simon Fraser University. He obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1975, while working for Chambers Phillips and Company in Vancouver.
Volunteer Activities
Jack is a council member and a past chair of the Members in Public Practice Committee at the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (ICABC). He is also a former director of the Terminal City Club, a private organization founded in Vancouver in 1892 for members of business that has made significant contributions to the political and business activity of the city and the province of British Columbia.
His community involvement has seen Jack serve as an executive for the Junior Soccer Club, coach youth soccer for 21 years, act as treasurer for the Adanac Junior Lacrosse Club, and volunteer in different capacities at his community church.
Extra-curricular Activities
Jack is married with three children. When not taking care of his clients or volunteering in the community, Jack enjoys his spare time by periodically writing articles, reading, and working around the house.
