Keith, who was born and raised in Burnaby, is a partner at MacKay LLP with extensive experience providing a range of accounting services. Keith’s audit practice is focused on junior resource companies and he prides himself on meeting stringent filing deadlines and completing audit engagements with minimal disruption to the client.

Keith also works closely with lawyers and their clients on:

  • Initial public offerings (IPOs);
  • Reverse takeovers where a private company acquires a publicly traded company;
  • Mineral property spinout transactions in which assets are transferred from the original owner into a separate company;
  • Prospectus offering dealing with raising equity;
  • Filing statements; and,
  • Other public offering documents. 

Keith takes great pleasure in providing clients with sound technical advice on complicated accounting issues and assisting them to grow their business and meet their goals.

He is also committed to establishing MacKay LLP as the premier Western Canadian mid-size accounting firm.  He participates on the firm’s strategic planning and professional standards committees to ensure the firm is taking the steps necessary to maintain a high level of client service and commitment to the region.

Keith graduated from Simon Fraser University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 1993. He joined Mackay LLP in 1990, obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation four years later, and successfully completed the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) In-Depth Tax Course in 1996.

Volunteer Activities

Keith is a member of the Canadian Tax Foundation, a volunteer with the Seniors Tax Clinic, and an active member of the Surrey Chamber of Commerce. He also volunteers his services to the Pitt Meadows Golf Club where he is both an active playing member and Treasurer.

Extra-curricular Activities

Keith is married with two children. His hobbies include golf, curling, hockey, and softball.
