Perry has nearly 10 years of public practice experience in virtually all areas of personal, corporate, and estate taxation, with an emphasis on corporate reorganizations and business succession. He first joined MacKay LLP as a co-op student in 1995, becoming a full-time employee a few years later. He then worked at KPMG for four years and Deloitte for five years respectively in their tax departments before returning to MacKay's Tax Department in 2008 as a Senior Manager.
For the past six years, Perry has provided various tax planning and advisory services to high net worth clients, privately held businesses, public corporations, foreign corporations with Canadian operations, and estates of Canadian citizens and residents.
Professional Memberships and Education
Perry obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from Simon Fraser University in 1998. He obtained his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation and became a member of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) in 1999. He also completed the CICA In-Depth Tax Course in 2002, and continues to upgrade his professional development through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of British Columbia (ICABC) and Canada. He is also a member in good standing with the Canadian Tax Foundation.
Volunteer Activities
Perry teaches as a group study leader for the CICA In-Depth Tax Course.
Extra-curricular Activities
A sports enthusiast, Perry enjoys golf, tennis, and hockey.
