Prior to joining MacKay LLP, Erik spent 12 years in large organizations in the Yukon, including nine years in various financial and management roles with NorthwesTel and three years as the Chief Financial Officer of Yukon Energy Corporation. He has been with MacKay LLP since 2005.
Professional Memberships and Education
Born and raised in Whitehorse, Erik received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Alberta in 1985 and his Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1990.
Volunteer Activities
Erik has served as president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Yukon, president of Big Brothers and Sisters of Yukon, and as a director of the Whitehorse Chamber of Commerce. Currently, he serves as treasurer of Cross Country Yukon.
Extra-curricular Activities
Erik is married to Colleen and they have a son. In his spare time, he enjoys running and cross-country skiing - both slowly!
