Mark has been in public practice for over 20 years, assisting clients in many areas including audit, accounting, small business taxation issues, and numerous special consulting engagements. His diverse client involvement at MacKay LLP includes municipalities, First Nations groups, non-profit organizations, and privately held and family businesses.
He has assisted clients in obtaining financing, preparing business plans, and consulting on payroll systems. Mark has appeared before a preliminary hearing of the Yukon Supreme Court as an expert witness, and has made numerous representations to Revenue Canada Agency on income tax and goods and services tax matters.

Mark received this Chartered Accountant (CA) designation in 1982 through the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Yukon Territories (ICAYT).
Volunteer Activities
Mark is a past governor of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) and a past president of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of the Yukon Territory (ICAYT). His community involvement includes acting as treasurer of the Whitehorse Men's Slow Pitch League and being a member of the Business Development Advisory Board of the Yukon Territorial Government.
Extra-curricular Activities
In his spare time, Mark enjoys spending time with his wife and kids. He also plays recreational curling and hockey.
